PITTSBURGH — Pittsburgh Langley K-8 in Pittsburgh’s Sheraden neighborhood was placed on lockdown as a precaution Wednesday after a report of shots fired, police said.
Pittsburgh police were called to Chartiers Avenue and Hillsboro Street around 2:40 p.m.
Authorities said it was determined that a man and woman got into a verbal argument with another man and woman that turned physical. At one point, one of the men retrieved a firearm and fired one shot into the air, police said.
The lockdown at the high school was lifted at approximately 3:15 p.m. once officers deemed the area secure.
No arrests have been made, but the investigation is ongoing, officials said.
