PITTSBURGH — Pittsburgh Steelers defensive lineman Cam Heyward is prepared to choose family over football this weekend.
Heyward’s wife, Allie, is due to give birth any day now.

As Sunday's game with the Raiders gets close, Channel 11 Sports Director Alby Oxenreiter asked Heyward what he'd do if his baby was ready to come into the world on game day.
“I don’t think there’s a decision to be made,” Heyward said. “If the baby is on his way on Sunday, I’ll be there. Hopefully it comes before or after.”
Heywayd, who has been arguably the best defensive player in recent years, joked with reporters on Thursday.
“Anything before, I’m going to try and be there for my son. So if he comes around after 4:30, hopefully I’ll be there in time and we can have a win-win situation,” Heyward said.
If Heyward doesn’t play Sunday, it could leave the Steelers thin on the defensive line. Stephon Tuitt has been battling a knee injury. However, he was a full participant in Thursday’s practice.
