Steelers LB allegedly threatens Bengals player who tackled Le'Veon Bell

PITTSBURGH — Several Pittsburgh Steelers players have voiced their displeasure over the past few days regarding the tackle that ended running back Le’Veon Bell’s season.

Bell suffered a knee injury when he was tackled by Cincinnati Bengals linebacker Vontaze Burfict.

Offensive lineman Ramon Foster told Channel 11's news exchange partners at TribLIVE that he thought the Bengals were aiming to injure someone.

"I am sure they were aiming to take somebody out today and kudos to them, they did the job," Foster said.

Speaking on 93.7 The Fan Tuesday morning, Foster talked about Burfict in particular, "He's the type of guy to do certain things like that. And the good thing about the situation is we get to see him again. We play him twice a year."

Foster also voiced his displeasure about what he called a celebration after the play.
“The celebration at the end, that's been his characteristic right there. He's the kind of player to do certain things like that. Eventually karma comes to get those guys back, and we'll see him a second time,” Foster said.

Offensive lineman Marcus Gilbert called Burfict's behavior "bull (expletive)."

Then there’s reserve linebacker Vince Williams, who was also quite upset.
Williams took to Twitter on Monday and said, “I catch Vontez on south beach im painting that boi on sight 100.”

The tweet was later be deleted -- but not before Burfict had time to respond.

He also seemed unwilling to wait until Dec. 13 when the Bengals and Steelers meet in Cincinnati.

Burfict replied, “why wait then u kno were I’m at.”

For what it's worth, Burfict was fined $25,000 last season for twisting the ankles of Carolina Panthers quarterback Cam Newton and tight end Greg Olsen.
