Syracuse bank robbery suspect located, arrested on Pittsburgh's North Side

PITTSBURGH — A suspect in a Syracuse, New York bank robbery was apprehended on Pittsburgh’s North Side on Sunday morning.

According to police, Frank Jones, 29, was arrested on Sunday around 9 a.m. Jones was wanted for robbery and grand larceny.%

The Syracuse FBI office contacted the Pittsburgh FBI office about Jones, who is a suspect in robberies at a bank and dairy store in Dewitt, New York.

According to investigators, Jones was staying with a family member at an apartment on East Ohio Street.

The family member told police they did not know Jones was a wanted fugitive.

Jones awaits extradition back to New York.
