PITTSBURGH — One Pittsburgh tattoo shop is making a statement against NFL quarterback Michael Vick's signing for National Dog Day.
On Wednesday, Jester’s Court Tattoos on Pittsburgh’s south side offered cover-ups of Steelers tattoos with dog paw prints in response to the team’s signing of Vick.

"I wanted to throw it out there," said shop owner Sean McCarthy. "I don't think that he should walk the desert for 40 years but should you still have that chance to be ben someone's hero and play in the NFL?"
The Steelers signed Vick to a one-year contract on Tuesday after placing backup quarterback Brad Gradkowski on injured reserve.
Vick practiced with the Steelers for the first time Wednesday afternoon.
