MIAMI, FLORIDA — A baby tiger at the Miami Zoo will finally get to join his mother after passing an all-important swimming test.
Zoo officials needed to make sure the Sumatran tiger cub named Satu would be able to swim out of the moat in his mother’s exhibit if he was to fall in.
So Wednesday the zoo staff decided to throw him into the deep end with plenty of help just in case.
Little Satu didn't need it though, and was able to paddle himself to safety.
Now that he has passed the test, zoo staff hope to move Satu in with his mom in the next few days.
