ERIE, Pa. — One person was shot at Erie High School Tuesday morning.
The person who was shot was taken to a hospital and is in good condition, the City of Erie Government said in a Facebook post.
Pennsylvania State Police said the shooter fled the school.
On Wednesday, the Erie Police Department said the shooter turned himself in.
Students are being released from school as each room is cleared, according to state police.
Erie officials said in a press conference that they knew who the suspect was when he fled and this was a targeted shooting.

Pennsylvania State Police Troop E is assisting with an active shooter situation at Erie High School. As of right now the building is secured and the shooter has fled the school. There was one non life threatening injury sustained during the incident.

The students are being released as each room is cleared. They are exiting the rear of the school and can be reunified with parents at 34th and Peach.
