1 person shot at Erie High School; shooter turns himself in

ERIE, Pa. — One person was shot at Erie High School Tuesday morning.

The person who was shot was taken to a hospital and is in good condition, the City of Erie Government said in a Facebook post.

Pennsylvania State Police said the shooter fled the school.

On Wednesday, the Erie Police Department said the shooter turned himself in.

Students are being released from school as each room is cleared, according to state police.

Erie officials said in a press conference that they knew who the suspect was when he fled and this was a targeted shooting.
