Suspended for having this in her purse at Prom, a local teen now wants the school’s policy to change

BURGETTSTOWN, Pa. — Fiona Walsh was suspended and threatened to be expelled for having pepper spray in her purse at her high school prom.

She told Channel 11 that this isn’t about just her. She’s pushing for a policy change to protect other young girls. She is pushing for the Burgettstown Area School District to change its classification of pepper spray as a weapon.
