• Animals from Fla. shelters will be available to adopt soon

    OHIO TOWNSHIP, Pa. - Channel 11 is getting a look at some of the pets rescued from Florida.

    The animals were already at shelters when Hurricane Irma hit earlier this month.

    They were brought to Animal Friends to make room for animals separated from loved ones because of the storm.

    "We're happy to welcome anybody that would be interested in any of these guys because they hold a special place in our heart and we know there are great homes out there," Shannon Tremblay with Animal Friends said.

    The dogs should be available for adoption soon.

    Animal Friends partnered with Pittsburgh Aviation Animal Rescue Team to bring them here.
