PITTSBURGH — Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger announced his foundation donated more than $90,000 across 15 grants for police and fire K-9 programs.
Departments that received money from the foundation included the Allegheny Valley Regional Police, Allegheny County Sheriff’s Office, Manor Township Police, North Fayette Township Police and the Punxsutawney Borough Police in Pennsylvania.
The money was to create new K-9 units, replace retiring dogs, buy new safety equipment and certify new K-9s.
