The robbery was reported around 3:10 p.m. at the Community Bank at 714 Brookline Boulevard. Police said a man walked in, showed a black semi-automatic handgun and demanded cash.

Police said he robbed two tellers before running away down Brookline Boulevard. It was not clear how much cash he escaped with.

The robber is described as a white male, 5 feet 9 inches tall, and possibly wearing long-haired wig. He was wearing a black, puffy coat and had what appeared to be lady's hosiery pulled over his face.

People who work and live in the area said this is so shocking, because the robber was so fearless. Several business owners said they have been interviewed by police, but they didn't know anything was happening.

The Pittsburgh Bureau of Police Violent Crime Unit is investigating. Anyone with information is asked to call police.
