Butler County doctor dies following bicycle crash

BUTLER, Pa. — A doctor who was injured in a bicycle crash earlier this week died Friday afternoon, according to Butler City Police.

Chief Bob O’Neill said police were called to a crash at the intersection of North Washington Street and West Brady Street shortly before 8 a.m. Wednesday.

The bicyclist, identified as Dr. Henry Sinopoli, 74, of Butler, was flown to a Pittsburgh hospital in critical condition.

Police said the driver of the vehicle stayed on scene and is cooperating with the investigation.
