PITTSBURGH — The Greenfield Bridge has officially reopened to drivers.
The old bridge was demolished in 2015 after opening in the 1920s. By the time it was closed for good, the old bridge was covered in graffiti and filled with potholes.

Nearly two years later, the new, state-of-the-art Greenfield Bridge has reopened to traffic.

The city held a ribbon-cutting ceremony Saturday night with the Mayor’s Office and distinguished guests commemorating the new bridge. A small parade and the uplighting of the bridge followed the ceremony.
