INDIANA COUNTY, Pa. — A 6-foot female alligator and a 4-foot male alligator were both stolen from an outdoor enclosure at an Indiana County pet shop, according to state police.

Troopers said someone took the reptiles from Pearce’s Pet Place in White Township sometime between 10 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 8 and noon Sunday, Aug. 9.
Neither animal was for sale and the pair has been valued at around $2,000.

Investigators said they do not yet have any leads, but they’re hopeful someone knows who took the alligators.
