Mad Mex introduces ‘Mad Mar-GO-ritas’

PITTSBURGH — Looking to cool off while you’re quarantine? Mad Mex has you covered.

The Mexican restaurant introduced the “Mad Mar-GO-ritas” Wednesday at all open locations.

It’s a 32-ounce frozen margarita that you can get to go, according to the company’s Instagram post.

The recipe had to be altered to make it legal to sell for take out by using a malt beverage base instead of tequila, chef Bill Fuller, president of big Burrito Restaurant Group, told our news partners at TribLIVE.com.

Each frozen drink comes in at Pennsylvania takeout-approved cup and will cost you $15.
