Man wanted for killing retired Chicago fireman arrested by FBI in New Castle

NEW CASTLE, Pa. — A man wanted on murder charges out of Chicago, Illinois, was arrested by FBI agents and local authorities at a home in New Castle.

According to police, the New Castle Police Department was contacted by the FBI about Jaylen Saulsberry possibly being in the city. He was wanted for an attempted carjacking that resulted in the homicide of a retired Chicago fireman. He was also wanted on a different warrant for a separate carjacking and shooting.

FBI agents, a SWAT team and local police found Saulsberry at a home at 411 Bell Avenue and he was taken into custody.

Saulsberry was taken to the Lawrence County Jail while the process to extradite him to Illinois gets underway.
