Update - 12/19: The Mon Wharf has announced that it will continue to be closed Friday and through the weekend for cleanup. The goal is to reopen for Monday morning.

“Although the river has receded from its crest of 19.8′, the flooding has left debris and mud behind, particularly in the drive lanes and middle/lower parking areas. Cold temperatures have also frozen much of mud/silt and prevented cleanup efforts,” a statement from the Public Parking Authority said.

Original story - 12/17: A downtown parking lot prone to flooding will be closed until further notice, starting Tuesday night.

All vehicles must be removed from the Mon Wharf lot by 7 p.m., according to a news release.

Because of anticipated flooding, no reopening date has been set for the lot.

We sent Drone 11 over the Mon Wharf and Monongahela River to get a unique view of the flooding. You can check it out in the video above.

You can find additional parking at the First Avenue Garage and Second Avenue Plaza at 232 Boulevard of the Allies.
