Owner of local speakeasy facing multiple charges for illegally selling alcohol, police say

PITTSBURGH — The owner of a Homewood speakeasy is facing multiple charges after police said he was running it without a liquor license.

Sean Reese operates “CLUB Secrets 412” on Kelly Street and officers said they made the discovery while raiding the business.

Pennsylvania State Police started investigating when they were tipped off about the club illegally selling alcohol and running as an illegal speakeasy.

During the raid, investigators seized 47 liters of liquor, 39 gallons of malt and brewed beverages and more than $3,000 in cash.

Five other people who worked there are also facing charges in connection with the illegal speakeasy, but their roles in the operation were not specified, police said.

Reese was charged with six counts of illegal sales of liquor without a liquor license, among other charges.
