Parents are upset over what they say was an inappropriate quiz that was given to middle school students.
"I've never heard of a boy toy or trophy wife,” a student said.
She may not have heard of those words, but they were questions on a quiz for sixth-graders in a Virginia middle school.

Students in the "food and consumer sciences" class were asked to answer questions about what is a trophy wife, a mistress and a boy toy are and their parents aren't happy about it.
"It's supposed to be a family life driven, make a meal plan, set a table, things of that nature, how to cook, sew, the kind of home-ec that we learned when we were younger,” Lawrence said.
The school district says the teacher who gave the quiz is under investigation.
