PetWellClinic in Leetsdale gearing up for grand opening

LEETSDALE, Pa. — The finishing touches are well underway for the grand opening at PetWellClinic in Leetsdale.

The new urgent care animal facility is setting up shop at the Quaker Village Shopping Center.

“It’s basically a walk-in clinic, no appointment necessary. It’s all about affordability and transparency,” said Tracey Hartman, Vice President of Operations for PetWellClinic’s Pittsburgh Region.

Nearly two years into the pandemic, COVID-19 has made it extremely challenging for pet owners to get an appointment with their veterinarian, due to long wait times and staffing shortages.

Hartman took notice and wanted to fill the void.

“I’ve heard anywhere from three weeks to three months, to even longer. Unfortunately, even the 24-hour emergency centers are lacking in help as well.”

At this clinic, you simply walk in and sign up in person, or sign up online, and staff will call you when a veterinarian is available to see your pet.

The facility only treats dogs and cats.

The veterinarians can help with hypothyroid, diabetes, allergies, skin and eye issues, and more. However, they won’t be performing any major surgeries.

Officials hope it will fill a void and bring a new layer of convenience to your four-legged friends and all pet owners.

“That’s why urgent cares became so big, because people are so busy, and we love our pets so much and we’re going to be able to give them the same attention as we can give ourselves,” said Hartman.

The grand opening and ribbon-cutting are set for Jan. 15.

The official Opening at the Quaker Village Shopping Center is January 18th.

The clinic is open Tuesday-Friday 11 a.m.-7 p.m. and on Saturday from 11 a.m.-5 p.m.
