PHILADELPHIA — Philadelphia officials are asking the thousands of people who took to the streets of Philadelphia during the election to take steps to prevent COVID-19.
City officials said anyone who was out protesting or celebrating Joe Biden’s presidential victory over the weekend should quarantine for 14 days, and get tested for COVID-19.
“Make no mistake about it. This is a very dangerous period. This is possibly the worst time of the entire epidemic,” said Philadelphia Health Commissioner Dr. Thomas Farley
The move comes as Pennsylvania averages nearly 3,000 new coronavirus cases a day as a spike in infections shows no sign of slowing.
