Law enforcement braces for more potential violence in Washington, D.C. ahead of Inauguration Day

Washington, D.C. — Pittsburgh Public Information Officer Chris Togneri is in Washington, D.C. this week with agency spokespeople from across the country to assist with inauguration media coverage.

Togneri said the trip was sponsored by the Major Cities Chiefs Association and is “an excellent opportunity.”

He will be helping the D.C. police department with media relations as it relates to the thousands of police officers from across the nation who are in the Capital for the Wednesday afternoon inauguration of President-elect Joe Biden and Vice President-elect Kamala Harris.
