Police arrest alleged heroin dealer after chase

PITTSBURGH — A traffic stop ended with police chasing down a suspect.

Pittsburgh police arrested an alleged gang member and heroin dealer Monday  after a chase through Hazelwood.

Terrance Davis is in the Allegheny County Jail facing 12 different charges, four of them felonies.

Undercover officers arrested Davis Monday night when they say he was driving recklessly and almost hit them on Marsden Street.

Police say they followed him several blocks to the La Gourmadine parking lot where Davis allegedly ditched his car and ran up this hillside.

Officers shot him with a stun gun, arrested him and then allegedly found heroin in his car, along with cash and three cellphones.

Court paperwork says Davis is a "Hazelwood Mob/Downlow Gang member, and having the bundle of heroin, along with a firearm to protect his drug sales, Davis intended to deliver said heroin."

Because Davis has already been convicted on previous felony drug charges, he's not allowed to have a gun and will face additional gun charges, on top of the drug charges.
