Police found Kayla Dunlap's body behind the Oneida Valley Dam in Butler County last fall, and this week, they charged the man they named a suspect months ago.
Shaun Long is now locked up in the Venango County Jail.
It took state police six months to investigate, but they now say Long gave Dunlap a lethal dose of fentanyl.
According to police paperwork, after she overdosed, he refused to call 911 and drove her body to a remote area in Oakland Township and dumped her. Police found her purse next to her.
The complaint goes on to say officials found bloodstains in the back of the Long’s vehicle.
He’s charged with drug delivery resulting in death and involuntary manslaughter.
A judge denied bond, calling Long a flight risk.
