As Jarett Shihra and his wife were in the hospital having their third child, he started getting pictures of smashed-in car windows and mirrors and extensive damage to work equipment -- such as a large bulldozer -- at his business.

“They smashed in every single window of the truck, the sides, the windows in 100,000 pieces of machinery,” he said.

People have been flocking to Mines and Meadows because of the COVID-19 pandemic as a way to get outside and have fun.

Investigators said where the vandals struck is hard to find and behind a locked gate.

“I don’t know how people have the heart to destroy someone else’s equipment and get in the way of someone’s dreams. It’s just a setback,” said Shihra. “We tried to put everything aside and focus the day on little Aria.”

Shihra told Channel 11 he does have insurance and hopes police are able to track down whoever did this.
