PITTSBURGH — Officials are citing social media tips for leading to the arrest of a Megan’s Law offender who they say failed to register his new address.
Wayne Webber, 38, of McKeesport, was found at a relative's home in North Huntingdon early Wednesday, the Allegheny County Sheriff’s Office said.
Webber is a Tier 3 offender, meaning he must register as a sex offender for the rest of his life. That designation followed a 2003 guilty plea to aggravated indecent assault, indecent assault of person less than 13 years old and corruption of minors.

Deputies said that Webber was with his girlfriend, Melissa Manhart, 42, when he was apprehended. Both were arrested and taken to the Allegheny County Jail, where they are being held without bond. The sheriff's department said that both will be charged for requirements related to sex offenders.
