LATROBE, Pa. — Ultra-low-cost carrier (ULCC) Spirit Airlines will be ramping up its weekly offerings at Arnold Palmer Regional Airport according to the Westmoreland County Airport Authority (WCAA). The Unity Township airport is located just under an hour’s drive southeast from downtown Pittsburgh.
Beginning on Feb. 12, Spirit will resume its twice-weekly flight on Mondays and Fridays to Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, and it will increase its flight offerings to and from Orlando, Florida, to now be scheduled with daily options. Currently, Spirit is only flying passengers to Orlando out of the Latrobe-based airport and it does so just five-days-a-week on Sunday, Monday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday.
