PITTSBURGH — After his family’s long-time building and home of Papa J’s Ristorante was irreparably damaged in a fire in March 2018, Michael Troiani is ready to move forward with a plan to build anew on the remaining site at 423 Broadway in Carnegie.
“We’re pretty excited about it,” said Troiani. “We’re looking at a modular construction typology to try and get it up quickly.”
He added of a location in which his family’s Papa J’s enjoyed a more than 30-year run at the head of Carnegie’s business district: “one way or another, we’re going to create a restaurant on the site in some way.”
Troiani said he expected to present the plan for the new redevelopment plan to Carnegie’s Monday evening council meeting.
