UNIONTOWN, Pa. - A woman was fatally shot in an apartment complex just outside of Uniontown on Friday.
Tasha May Walton, 37, didn't live at Brierwood Acres, near Uniontown Hospital, police said, but she was shot there sometime between 2:30 and 3 p.m.
Authorities have charged Antonio Trevelle Lanko, 31, of Uniontown with criminal homicide in the death of Walton, police said Friday night.

Lanko and Walton drove to the Brierwood Acres apartment complex on MacArthur Terrace on Friday afternoon in a silver Jeep when a gun Lanko was carrying "deployed," with the bullet striking Walton, police said.
Witnesses reported hearing a single gunshot, police said. Then Walton was carried to a nearby apartment, where she died.
Lanko's preliminary hearing is scheduled for Nov. 13.
