Woman rescued after car goes airborne, crashes upside down near creek

PULASKI TOWNSHIP, Pa. — A woman had to be rescued after crashed down an embankment Friday, went airborne and landed upside down near a creek in Lawrence County.

State police said for unknown reasons the 19-year-old woman lost control of her car on Mercer Street around 8 a.m. in Pulaski Township.

Troopers said she hit a guardrail, then flew several hundred feet before coming airborne and landing upside down.

She was trapped for a short time and was pulled through the rear window of the car.

The woman was taken to the hospital. Her condition has not yet been released.

State police continue to investigate the crash.
