HARRISBURG, Pa. — If you’re eagerly awaiting to get your antlerless deer license back in the mail, you’ll have to keep waiting. Officials with the Pennsylvania Game Commission said the agency’s new licensing system is taking longer than usual and “has experienced slowdowns during peak sales periods.”
Officials said they’re working with the vendor that operates the new state licensing system to find a solution that will speed it up.

In January, the Game Commission started issuing licenses through the new HuntFishPA platform. The vendor, NIC, said the issues the system is experiencing come from a high volume of transactions, “which is a testament to the number of hunters and trappers in Pennsylvania.”
Agency officials said you will still get your license well ahead of any season opener.
If you want to check whether your license has been awarded, you can find that information online.
