JOPLIN, MISSOURI — The latest item on the menu at a Missouri restaurant is getting worldwide attention.
Midtown Pizza Kitchen in Joplin has created the new sensation called the "Townie."
It's a hamburger patty put between two mini pizza buns.
The Townie has been out for a little more than a week and the restaurant has already sold hundreds of them.
Images and talk about the pizza burger are also getting worldwide attention on social media.
Currently, there are only two versions of the Townie, but because of its popularity, Midtown Pizza Kitchen is in the process of creating more.
