LARGO, Fla. — A Florida woman was arrested Monday after she got mad at her husband and hit him with a bouquet of flowers he had bought her for Mother’s Day, police said.

Sandra Kay Webb got upset around 12:30 a.m. because her husband purchased her children flowers to give her for Mother’s Day, according to court records.

Police said she then threw the bouquet at him and hit him with the flowers while he was laying in bed. Webb also spit on her husband’s left arm and chest, police said.

Webb denied spitting on her husband, but but after her rights were read, she allegedly told police that she threw the flowers at him.

Webb, 32, was arrested and charged with domestic battery, according to court records. She was released from jail on her own recognizance.
