Astrologer Jackie Stallone, mother of “Rocky” star Sylvester Stallone, died Monday, her family announced on social media.
Frank Stallone, the actor’s brother, wrote in a Facebook post that the 98-year-old mother of four “died in her sleep as she had wished.” He went on to describe her as “a remarkable woman” who was “full of spunk and fearless.”
“It was hard not to like her,” Frank, 70, wrote of his mother, who also was a women’s wrestling promoter and contestant on the U.K. version of “Celebrity Big Brother.” “She was [a] very eccentric and flamboyant person.”
Jackie Stallone, who was born in 1921, had sons Sylvester and Frank with first husband Frank Stallone Sr., according to People magazine. She later married Anthony Filiti and had a daughter, actress Toni D’Alto, who died in 2012.
