CHENGDU, China — A young girl was rescued after falling into a panda enclosure in southwest China over the weekend.
State media showed video of the rescue, as a security guard is seen first trying to rescue the girl with a stick.
The security guard then reaches down through a gap to hold the girl's hand and pull her out as pandas were approaching, though with no apparent attempt to attack her.

State media said the incident took place Saturday at the Chengdu Research Base. It added that the girl was not injured and the cause of the incident is still under investigation.
