World Wide Web users celebrate its 25th anniversary

Did you see the 25th anniversary card on Facebook for the World Wide Web this morning?

Today is generally marked as the date the World Wide Web went public.  The internet existed years before is actually distinct from the World Wide Web.  The web refers to the pages found on the internet, which are viewed by a web browser that uses the internet to access them.  Tim Berners-Lee-- a British scientist-- granted the general public access to the web for the first time on this date in 1991.

It allowed non-technical computer experts use the internet in a simple way, paving the way for the information age.
