Serious crash on Pa. Turnpike temporarily closes lane in each direction in Westmoreland Co.

A lane of the Pennsylvania Turnpike was closed in each direction as Pennsylvania State Police investigated a crash in Westmoreland County.

A man was trapped after a van collided with a tractor trailer just before 8 p.m.

A medical helicopter was called to the crash at mile marker 78.5.

The crash took about two hours to clear.
