ESPN reports that holdout wide receiver Mike Wallace is expected to return to the Steelers in advance of the regular season's first week.
Wallace still has not signed the team's one-year, $2.7 million tender offer, but sources with whom ESPN NFL Insider Adam Schefter spoke say that the Pro Bowler is likely to be back for the games that matter.
Wallace wants a long-term contract, but the Steelers are playing hardball, having already stopped negotiations.
