Pittsburgh’s PNC Park returning to full capacity for Thursday’s Pirates game, concert

PITTSBURGH — For the first time since 2019, PNC Park will allow for full capacity starting Thursday as the Pittsburgh Pirates kick off their series against the Milwaukee Brewers.

The Pirates are calling this “(Re)Opening Weekend,” and it includes a postgame concert Thursday night from Big & Rich that will be the first live large-venue concert in Pittsburgh since before the pandemic.

Every seat at the ballpark -- more than 38,000 -- will now be available again. Preparations for that started back in May.

Masks are not required to be worn inside PNC Park.
