PITTSBURGH — UPDATE 2:30 p.m.: Steelers G Ramon Foster has announced he is retiring, according to team officials.
Foster had played for the Steelers for 11 seasons, starting 145 of 160 games he played in. Both of those numbers are the second-most in team history.

UPDATE 1:01 p.m.: The Steelers have terminated the contracts of LB Mark Barron and WR Johnny Holton as well.
Barron signed with the team as a free agent in 2019 after playing for Tampa Bay and the Los Angeles Rams.
Holton signed with the Steelers in 2019 after playing for the Raiders. He caught 3 passes for 21 yards and returned 3 kicks for 55 yards.

The Pittsburgh Steelers have reportedly released LB Anthony Chickillo, according to ESPN.

This comes on the same day as the Steelers placing the franchise tag on Bud Dupree.
Chickillo was drafted in 2015 in the sixth round by the Steelers. He played defensive end in college and Steelers’ coaches envisioned him switching to an outside linebacker role. He signed a two-year, $8 million contract extension with the Steelers in March of last year.

Chickillo was arrested and charged during the 2019 season for allegedly assaulting his girlfriend at Nemacolin Woodlands Resort. He was placed on the Reserve/Commissioner Exempt List after his arrest and was not allowed to be on Steelers property.

The charges were eventually withdrawn and Chickillo apologized to team officials for being a distraction in the midst of a season that saw the team devastated by injuries.
Last season, Chickillo tallied 9 solo tackles, 10 assists, 1 quarterback hit and half a sack in 11 games played.
