Steelers sign GM Kevin Colbert to 1-year contract extension

PITTSBURGH — Steelers General Manager Kevin Colbert will be staying with the Steelers for at least one more season. The Steelers announced a one-year contract extension for Colbert Wednesday afternoon.

Colbert, of his own volition, started operating on a “year-to-year” basis this season and his contract was set to expire after the 2020 NFL Draft in April. It is now extended through the 2021 NFL Draft.

Colbert said, “It’s hard to quantify how fortunate I am to have been part of this organization for the last 20 years. I look forward to the challenge of getting our team back into playoff contention while never losing sight of our ultimate goal, winning a Super Bowl.”
