PITTSBURGH — Whatever ailed Penguins goaltender Tristan Jarry – literally – apparently cleared up pretty quickly, as he was on the ice Tuesday for practice Tuesday at the UPMC Lemieux Sports Complex.
Jarry did not play Monday night in Detroit because of illness.
Perhaps as a precaution, Filip Lindberg is still here and was at practice along with Jarry and DeSmith. Lindberg served as DeSmith’s backup Monday after being recalled.
Center Jeff Carter, who joined the morning skate Monday in a non-contact jersey, was at practice in a regular, contact-allowed jersey Tuesday. He has been dealing with an upper-body injury. Coach Mike Sullivan said he is hopeful Carter will get into the team’s final preseason game, Friday at home against Buffalo.
