Pittsburgh Penguins forward Jake Guentzel out 4-6 months following shoulder surgery

PITTSBURGH — One of the Pittsburgh Penguins’ main players could be out for the season.

Forward Jake Guentzel hurt his right shoulder during Monday night’s game against the Ottawa Senators.

He underwent surgery and will miss the next four to six months, according to team executive vice president and general manager Jim Rutherford.

The 25-year-old was just named to the NHL All-Star team earlier that day and leads the team in goals and points.
