Olympic skeleton driver Matt Antoine has never stepped foot in Pennsylvania, but he has a Western Pennsylvania connection.
“I can honestly say that this summer and training was probably the best preparation I've had ever,” said Antoine.
Channel 11 caught up with Antoine last summer in Salt Lake City, Utah.
Four years ago -- he won bronze in the skeleton.
While training in Lake Placid, he says he tried to take traditional college classes, but travel and commutes got in the way. So he got his degree online from California University of Pennsylvania
"They do distance learning and they have a degree in sports management,” said Antoine.

He said it was the perfect opportunity - creating a path for him to follow after his athletic career but "that" job is not yet done -- and in Pyeongchang -- Antoine wants to turn his passion into gold.
“I love the speed aspect of it. I've always been into auto racing, I was always into winter sports, so skeleton kind of brought a lot of those aspects together. I just loved the thrill of the competition for sure,” said Antoine.
The Wisconsin native has publicly shared his battle with depression after the Sochi games.
Part of his therapy has been his dog, Dixie, which has its own Instagram account.
It's been a process for Antoine as he works to figure out how he can get stronger.
“I spent the last three years just kind of taking a step back, seeing what I could do better, do differently, even though I had success in 2014. You can't get complacent or anything like that,” said Antoine.
Antoine said this will probably be his last Olympics -- so he's going to leave it all out there.
