Ones to Watch: Scott McGough, baseball

TOKYO — Before he was a baseball player for Team USA, Scott McGough played in the Pittsburgh, PA area.

McGough grew up in Plum, PA, attended the University of Oregon and then entered into the major leagues.

He currently plays professionally in Tokyo, Japan.

“It’s been kind of crazy with everything changing and seeing if this was going to happen, and then me getting asked to be a part of the Olympics was just something I wasn’t really expecting, but it’s just been a dream come true,” McGough said.

McGough comes from a baseball family.

His dad, Tom, played for Cleveland.
