Skylights 2018: High school football WPIAL championship scores

PITTSBURGH — It’s Championship Week on Skylights! Four WPIAL championship games were scheduled for Saturday at Heinz Field.

Here are the games we covered:

• 11 a.m. 1A Championship – Rochester 6, Our Lady of Sacred Heart 28
• 2 p.m. 3A Championship – Aliquippa 42, Derry Area 19
• 5 p.m. 4A Championship – South Fayette 31, Thomas Jefferson 24
• 8 p.m. 6A Championship – Pine-Richland 34, Seneca Valley 7

The WPIAL 5A Championship between West Allegheny and Penn Hills were on Friday at Norwin High School.

The results for the Class 5A semifinals:

• West Allegheny 42, Gateway 28
• Peters Township 14, Penn Hills 22

The WPIAL 2A Championship between Steel Valley and South Side Beaver will be held Saturday at Robert Morris University.

The results for the Class 2A semifinals:

• Freedom 0, Steel Valley 40
• Charleroi 21, South Side Beaver 26
