PITTSBURGH — Scattered showers and storms will be around this morning, mainly through 8 a.m. or so. While severe weather is not expected, brief heavy rain and lightning are possible.
We’ll enjoy lots of dry time today, with the next best chance for a storm not coming until this evening. Even then, not everyone will see it, but those who got very heavy rain in the last few days should be vigilant as it won’t take much additional rainfall to cause flooding.
Enjoy a nice break in the rain Sunday with lower humidity levels. Unfortunately, that break is short-lived with more unsettled weather coming next week. Starting on Monday, we’ll see a daily chance for showers and thunderstorms through at least Wednesday, which will keep the threat of localized flash flooding going.
High temperatures will be fairly seasonable next week around 80 degrees, but with high humidity, nighttime lows will remain in the upper 60s to near 70.
