A level orange Air Quality Alert is in effect for several counties Tuesday.

Level orange means air quality will not be good for people who are sensitive to air pollutants. This includes those with respiratory ailments such as asthma and emphysema, the elderly and very young children.

At-risk groups should limit overexertion outdoors during the day, especially the afternoon and early evening.
The Air Quality Alert is in effect for Allegheny, Armstrong, Beaver, Butler, Fayette, Washington and Westmoreland counties.
