If you’re heading out Saturday evening plan on having your coat as temperatures will be near 40 degrees. Winds will stay light and we’ll keep a cloudy sky overhead.

Expect rain to move into the area early Sunday morning. Areas generally north and east of Pittsburgh will have the greatest risk of freezing rain (ice) early Sunday as temperatures hover around the freezing mark. Ice accumulation, especially along the I-80 corridor and ridges, will range from a glaze to 0.10 inches.

Warmer air will invade the region during the day with most of the forecast area receiving rain. The exception in the afternoon will be along the I-80 corridor where snow may mix with rain. Temperatures will be near 40 degrees during the afternoon. Snow accumulations will be light with most areas seeing less than one inch.

Rain and snow showers are expected for our area by Sunday evening as temperatures once again cool. Expect scattered snow showers overnight Sunday into Monday morning before the moisture becomes a bit spottier throughout Monday.

A clipper system may impact our weather on Tuesday bringing a chance for some spotty snow showers.
