Few snow showers expected to cross region Saturday

PITTSBURGH — Watch for a few icy spots on the roads if you head out with the “one you love” for an early Valentine’s Day dinner Saturday night. A few snow showers or patchy freezing drizzle could make things slick.

You’ll get a chance to catch your breath Sunday but gear up for two more rounds of snow that could mix with freezing rain and sleet.

The first wave of snow will develop late Sunday into early Monday, bringing the threat for several inches to accumulate. The bigger impacts will be seen and felt late Monday into Tuesday as the stronger wave moves in.
